Step 1: Complete the following information required for a background clearance. This will include providing all charges and arrests, including any charges that have been sealed or expunged.
Step 2: Monitor your email from Pinellas County Schools with next steps to schedule your appointment. During your appointment you will make payment for fingerprinting, fingerprint, and take your picture for your Intern ID badge. Your exact fee will be provided in the PCS email. The maximum fee for fingerprinting interns is $60 (State/FBI) fee Clearinghouse.
Step 3: Arrive on time for your appointment at the Largo Administrative Office. Your Clearinghouse Screening has been initiated by the school district.
- Bring the appropriate government issued picture identification (such as driver's license, Florida ID card, or passport)
- Bring payment (debit/creditcard)
Step 4: You will receive your PCS Intern badge in the U.S. mail upon background clearance. Once you receive your badge, you may begin your internship hours at the assigned school(s). Identification badge must always be worn while on PCS campuses. Communication will be made with district supervisors on clearance.

Please allow at least (7) working days after fingerprinting for your intern badge to be mailed to the address you provided.
You will be notified by the Office of Professional Standards if there is a concern with your background screening.
